Information for Health Professionals

chdWe understand how busy treatment rooms can be and that it can be difficult to give your patients the time and specialist information required for some of the more exotic destinations.

The team at Lisburn Travel Clinic is run by Helen Johnson, Travel Health Nurse Specialist, who with more than 20 years experience in Travel Health also teaches Travel Medicine to GP’s and nursing staff throughout Northern Ireland.

As you will be aware, some travel vaccines are available on the NHS and others are not. If you refer your patients to us they will be given a comprehensive risk assessment and advised what is required/recommended for the specific areas they are travelling to.  Private vaccines can be given here for all patients. If NHS vaccines are required, these can be arranged with our Nurse for patients of Lisburn Health Centre. Patients who are not registered with Lisburn Health Centre will be given a list of recommended/required NHS vaccines to take back to their own Practice for administration by their own GP or Treatment Room nurse free of charge.

If you have any queries in relation to this just contact us on 028 9250 1281.
